At the initiative of the UAE Council for Young People's Books, chaired by Ms. Marwa Al-Aqroubi, the UAE will host the second edition of the Silent Book Exhibition in early August to help refugee children overcome the language barrier for the first time in the Arab world and the Middle East. .

The exhibition seeks to reinforce the mission of Kanama Yana, one of the initiatives of the Emirates Council for Young People's Books, which aims to establish permanent and mobile libraries for children living in areas experiencing difficulties accessing the book as a result of social unrest, natural disasters and wars.

The exhibition, hosted by the Sharjah Art Foundation, will be open to visitors on August 1 and will last eight weeks at the Flying Bowl Building. It will feature 54 illustrated books, 51 of which were selected by the International Youth Book Board from 18 foreign countries and three The books are published by Arab countries. These books provide children, artists, designers, painters and book publishers in the region with an opportunity to learn about the world of silent books.

Silent books contribute to the eradication of visual illiteracy, a recent trend in the educational and educational process that researchers, educators, educators, museum and exhibition specialists, and film directors consider necessary to foster creativity and innovation, to develop critical thinking, to improve educational achievement and to strengthen feelings of empathy with others. To achieve this, a series of activities and specialized workshops for publishers, artists and events related to silent children's books are scheduled to be held on the sidelines of the exhibition.
